Rwanda is known for its high-quality coffee, and this tour offers an in-depth look at how coffee is grown, harvested, and processed.

Itinerary:

  1. Morning Pick-Up (7:00 AM): Depart from Kigali and journey to the highlands of southern Rwanda, home to some of the country’s most renowned coffee plantations.

  2. Introduction to Coffee Cultivation (10:00 AM): Arrive at the plantation and meet your guide, a local coffee expert. Start with an introduction to the coffee-growing process, including the unique varieties grown in Rwanda.

  3. Coffee Plantation Walking Tour (10:30 AM): Take a guided tour through the coffee fields and see the coffee trees in various stages of growth. Learn about sustainable farming techniques used by local farmers.

  4. Coffee Processing Workshop (11:30 AM): Visit the coffee processing station, where you’ll see how coffee cherries are harvested, sorted, and dried. Witness the meticulous process that transforms raw cherries into export-ready beans.

  5. Lunch on the Plantation (1:00 PM): Enjoy a farm-to-table lunch prepared using local ingredients, including fresh coffee to accompany your meal.

  6. Coffee Tasting (2:00 PM): Take part in a professional coffee cupping session, where you’ll taste different Rwandan coffee blends and learn about the intricate flavors and aromas that make Rwandan coffee world-famous.

  7. Interaction with Coffee Farmers (3:00 PM): Meet local coffee farmers, hear their stories, and gain insight into the daily lives of those who produce some of the finest coffee in the world.

  8. Return to Kigali (4:00 PM): After a day immersed in the world of coffee, return to Kigali, arriving around 7:00 PM.
